Dalton Vineyard
Dalton Vineyard was founded in 2001 by Jim Dalton, inspired by his daughter’s words, “Dad, you loved two things in life, gardening and wine. Why don’t you go out and start a vineyard or something.”
Jim worked hard and bulldozed over 30 acres of land at the turn of the century to make his vision a reality. By 2005, the vineyard’s syrah had been made into an award-winning wine at the California state fair (double gold). Jim had a team consisting of fine wine-makers and an excellent vineyard manager. When Jim passed away in 2010, his daughter stepped in to be the steward of the Dalton Vineyard, determined to keep the love of the vine alive.
“Let us celebrate the occasion with wine and sweet words.” -Plautus
